Ryland (The Boss)
Ryland has a background in emergency and general practice nursing, and a slightly concerning love of ear cleaning. She’s been doing it since 2017 and somehow made earwax removal look stylish while she was at it.
She’s single but about as keen to date you as she is to cut off her own arm with a rusty saw. She thanks you in advance for not asking — and asks that you extend the same courtesy to her other nurses. This is a workplace, and safety, both physical and emotional, comes first.
Known for her dry humour and unfiltered honesty, Ryland tells it like it is, laughs while she’s doing it, and will give your ears the best clean of their life. Beneath the sarcasm is someone who genuinely cares — though she’ll deny it if you say it out loud.

Tayla has rejoined the TEH team in 2026 after maternity leave and is now somehow balancing life as a mom of two boys while still arriving at work looking put together, well-rested, and mentally organised. Ryland finds this a little bit suspicious.
The clinic vacuum cleaner has also had a noticeably easier few months, having not been forced to process quite as much blonde hair on a daily basis. Unfortunately for the vacuum, that era has now ended.
Ryland and Tayla first worked together in Mackay in 2020 in the emergency department, where Ryland very quickly noticed that Tayla was one of those nurses who could be trusted with absolutely anything. Which is unusual, because Ryland trusts almost nobody.
Don’t let the chaotic sock collection and objectively unfortunate Crocs fool you — Tayla is exceptionally good at what she does. She’s intelligent, efficient, funny, and the type of nurse who can keep a patient calm while simultaneously insulting Ryland from across the room. Patients adore her because she makes them feel comfortable almost immediately. Ryland adores her because she’s clinically excellent and doesn’t require babysitting.
We are very excited to have Tayla back in the clinic. The vacuum cleaner is less enthusiastic.

Paris joined Total Ear Hygiene as a graduate nurse and very quickly proved herself to be an absolute natural with patients. She has a calm, gentle approach, makes people feel instantly comfortable, and somehow manages to discuss earwax in a way that feels both professional and strangely relaxing.
Originally from Aotearoa, New Zealand, Paris brings warmth, patience, and a genuine enthusiasm for ear cleaning to the clinic — which is either admirable or deeply concerning depending on how you look at it.
She’s eager to learn, fantastic with patients, and survived Ryland’s training process — an experience some might describe as “professional development” and others might describe as “character building.”
Paris is a proud cat mama and now a baby mama too, and we are absolutely thrilled to have her back at Total Ear Hygiene.

This is Ervin. He joined the Total Ear Hygiene team and immediately started collecting five-star reviews like it was a side hustle.
He’s a triathlon enthusiast with a talent for endurance — which comes in handy when clearing the kind of ears that test everyone’s patience but his.
He’s a committed foodie with a research-based approach to finding good restaurants — the kind that involves scanning reviews for names that match the cuisine. It’s not luck. It’s data.
Calm, efficient, and unflappable, Ervin doesn’t do drama — just spotless ear canals.

Cass brings the kind of energy that makes a blocked ear feel like an event. She’s bright, bubbly, and powered almost entirely by enthusiasm — obviously with nursing qualifications and skills to back that up.
She left hospital nursing to find work that actually feels good — and hasn’t looked back. Between perfecting her microsuction technique and collecting compliments from patients, she’s also learning the subtle art of being a little bit sassy.
Under Ryland’s influence, the transformation is well underway. Some might call it professional development. Others might call it corruption.
